The most interesting fixtures in football are witnessed when league leaders verse the team second to it. This Tuesday, 01 November 2016 the Azam Uganda Premier League table leaders, KCCA FC will play host to all time rivals SC Villa in Lugogo at Philip Omondi Grounds
KCCA FC will be looking forward to maintaining their home unbeaten run while SC Villa will be striving to make their fourth win in a row.
It is no ordinary fixture for the two teams because Mike Mutebi’s side, KCCA FC sits on top of the table with 25 points as Shafik Bisaso’s side, SC Villa follows with 21 points. A win for KCCA FC will imply that they will sit comfortably on top of the table meanwhile a win for SC Villa will imply that the bridge between two sides will be narrowed hence tightening the competition for the title. However a draw will make no difference between the two teams.
Paul Mbowa is expected to take charge of SC Villa’s mid field despite return of Vice-Captain, Bernard Muwanga. Mbowa has been impressive in many matches and is expected to deliver for his side once again.
Timothy Awany has been confirmed to be returning for KCCA FC but unlikely to be in the first XI despite regaining fitness. Awany does not only help the Kasasiro boys to harden the back-four but also helps to initiate counter attacks.
Meanwhile SC Villa is to focus their attention on Godfrey Lwesibawa who is believed to be the most on form player in the league at the moment with eight assists in ten fixtures.
