It is now ten games into the first round of the Azam Uganda Premier League (AUPL) but Onduparaka FC is still unbeaten at their home ground, The BetWay Green Light Stadium.
The AUPL match between Onduparaka FC and JMC Hippos on Tuesday, 18 October 2016 could not end Onduparaka’s top flight home unbeaten run when it ended 1-all. Although the Hippos opened the scoring at the 28th minute through Mustafa Mugoya, the Arua based side were far from giving up when they levelled the game at the 42nd minute through Gadafi Gadinho.
At the second half, the audience was served with a goalless tie as both sides locked horns without hitting the back of the net. The Caterpillars gave the Jinja based side a bloody nose accompanied with the rhythm from their fans. The struggling Hippos must consider themselves lucky to earn a point at the Green Light stadium basing on the fact that league giants like Police FC, SC Villa including champs, KCCA FC have a bad story to tell about playing at the Green Light stadium.
The Arua based side played without skipper, Muhammad Shaban who was serving a suspension on grounds of accumulated yellow cards. His absence was seriously felt when the Caterpillars failed to edge the struggling Jinja based side.
JMC (Jinja Municipal Council) Hippos has never obtained maximum point in any game for this season. Their draw with Onduparaka is their third and the rest of the fixtures are terrible losses. Kirinya, Jinja SSS also faces the same plight as Hippos.
