This game was a corner stone for Villa’s championship ambitions for if they had lost it that would imply that they would be 3 points behind Vipers FC and 7 points behind champs, KCCA FC.

Alex Kitata gave Villa a half time lead after hitting the back of the net at the 17th minute when he utilised Geodfrey Lwesibawa’s fine cross. At the 53rd minute, Lesibwawa doubled Villa’s lead after a lot of effort. At the 84th minute, the Saints pulled back one through George Senkaaba who was just substituted in. however this goal proved to be a consolation as attempts to level the game by the Saints was futile.

After two successive winless campaigns on match day six and seven, SC Villa went back to the drawing board and figured out the reasons for the two match bad run. In fact Villa’s two winless games costed them the top of the table.

On match day seven, Villa lost to top flight AUPL debutant, Onduparaka FC 4-3 at the Green Light stadium in Arua municipality. This game gave Villa players a bloody nose after all their efforts to level the game were ruined due to a death time thriller strike from Onduparaka’s captain, Shaban   that made the hosts retake the lead.

On match day six, Villa again failed to take home three points after sharing spoils with Soana. This was a must win match for Villa fans but they were disappointed when it all ended in a 1-all draw.

It now implies that the AUPL title race is likely to be between KCCA, Vipers, Villa and Onduparaka although it is still early to predict the future. Villa still holds advantage to top the table depending on the fact that they have a one match advantage over KCCA and so does Vipers and Onduparaka.
